Job Summary:

The Host/Hostess will serve as the initial point of contact, welcoming and seating guests in the restaurant.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet customers with a friendly demeanor as they enter the restaurant.
• Provide precise wait times to guests and manage waiting lists efficiently.
• Handle reservations, ensuring proper coordination with the wait staff.
• Accompany guests to their assigned dining or bar areas.
• Present menus and announce the servers assigned to each table.
• Bid customers farewell upon their departure.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
• Answer incoming calls and address customer queries.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Strong organizational skills to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
• Ability to collaborate with kitchen and wait staff seamlessly.
• Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.

Education and Experience:

• Must successfully complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
